Gridlines

These grids are common in the mountain regions of Japan. I had thought that they were a remarkably clever way of getting tea to grow on super steep land (having seen bushes in them earlier in the year), but my Japanese friend told me that they were just to stop landslides. Maybe I should try to invent some landslide stopping mini-tea terraces...
