My favourite tree

This is a small dome-shaped sycamore that I can see from the kitchen window; it's a pleasure all through the year with leaves which start pink and turn green then yellow through the year. This morning a goldcrest spent an age just picking his way along twigs, finding food amongst the lichens and mosses.
