The Fairy Wood

I only just found out we have an actual Fairy Wood right on our doorstep. Exciting, huh?! No time to waste, we decided to enlist some helpers and took to the Botanics with H and Abigail in search of these magical little creatures.

As you can see, we were pretty successful. We ventured off the beaten track, in amongst the trees, and came across quite a number of our winged friends. Cuter still were the little doors painted and decorated in pretty colours attached to various trees. Thankfully the kids weren't too upset the fairies weren't the real mccoy and enjoyed their little woodland adventure.

After lunch we ventured into the park where the kids took to bikes and scooters for oh, a good 10 minutes, then proceeded to play hide and seek, abandoning their wheels and running from tree to tree while us mums had to lug said bikes and scooters (with bags, jackets and fully loaded pram) around like pack horses for another hour. If I end up 4ft with a hunched back I'll know who to blame.
