Disaster Strikes!

After yesterday's image of wide open spaces and a beautiful view all the way to the mountain, imagine my horror when I discovered this bulldozer clearing the land in front of my "retirement cottage". 

It is hard to believe that anyone could want to build there, when a short distance away lie several derelict apartment blocks in desperate need of renovation.

So it seems our beautiful walk in the morning is no more and instead a building site will replace the clear view to the horizon.

If that's the price of progress, you can keep it.
