Flood!

Got the first call from the Environment Agency about half past nine telling us floods were possible. Had a look and took this picture but we weren’t worried because the river was about three feet from the top of the bank. The second call came just after 11 and warned that flooding was imminent and to start taking action. We wandered down the garden and saw the water level was a foot higher so went back inside and finished our coffee.
By 2 it was dropping fast so we went for a walk to view the floods. Lots of standing water on the fields and some stretches of road under water but no property threatened from the look of it.
