Reflecting

I took advantage of a brief spell of blue sky to check on our pond for the first time in several weeks.

I was amazed to see that the duckweed I’d battled all summer is practically gone and I could finally see the surrounding trees reflected in the water.

True to form, though, the heavens opened as soon as I went to take a picture!
