Last Tram ceremony

a quarter of a million people turned out on the evening of Tuesday 4th September 1962 to witness Glasgow's Last Tram procession...it had the largest tramway network in Britain outside London......for many people this was as welcome as the railway closures following Dr Beeching's infamous report a few years later
