NOT the road home   -   but it is according to Google Maps and other websites.    I have mentioned before how confusing it is for visitors and deliveries to find the road blocked only about 200 metres from the house so we always give our neighbour’s code to save them a frustrating search.  A journey from the local primary school is only a mile by road but according to the sites it is 1.6 miles and still a car could not reach the house.  Last week we saw a sign on a gate saying to ignore the satnav route through fields and a wood and turn round to take another route to a group of houses, fortunately we were walking so saved a long detour.  Satnav can be very useful but not always.
