Mid November in the garden.
It was a busy day yesterday.
In the morning we had our church Livestream service, which was followed by a long conversation with one of our friends.
The Nurse had also been mid morning, pronouncing the “patient” do be doing exceptionally well, considering all that had happened to him earlier in the year.
So very very thankful.
Then it was time for the Sunday lunch I had made.
We had intended to go for a walk, but there were several hefty showers mid afternoon so it was postponed till 4.00pm when the lowering sun put in an appearance.
Off we went into the Four Oaks Estate this time. You can walk down their tree-lined roads, and it is actually our most direct route to Sutton Park.
The estate comprises of beautiful (mostly gated) houses surrounded by beautifully tended gardens. Most of the properties are in excess of £1,000,000.
We passed the Hartopp Gated Entrance into the park where stragglers were leaving the park, and came back home having done a circular route.
The sunset was beautiful, seen through the bare dark tree branches, streaks of pink and oranges set against the last bit of icy blue sky.
Home for tea. And two more calls.
One from Texas on WhatsApp video and another in FaceTime from our son and his wife. They had earlier sent us a video they had made of the grandchildren sending us lovely messages. I had made one for them the previous day. It’s like a virtual letter!
They like to know that Grandad is getting better.
Another busy day coming up.
Time to take up the breakfast tray!
He was still asleep when I got up earlier.
I am behind with comments. But I will catch up at some point.
