Birthday tea

The boys and I made a three course meal for Mikey’s birthday. Seb did dough balls and garlic butter. Thomas was supposed to be making the steak and dauphinois but in reality he peeled the spuds and cooked the asparagus (which were done to perfection!) Arthur made the tiramisu which was super easy to make and everyone loved it! It made for quite a busy day so a picture of leftovers is the best I could do!

Day 3/100 - normally birthdays are an extra excuse to drink and the temptations was definitely there tonight especially when Mikey was trying to get me to try the lovely bottle of red his mum had sent over for him! Managed to resist (red wine is wasted on me anyway - it all tastes the same!)

39 years of Mikey (I wasn’t part of the first 26 but I hope to be part of the rest!)

The kids enjoying cooking for a special tea - I should get them involved more often but tricky with a little scott around - I have to cook in a particular window and usually pretty quickly!

Old friends - Mikey had contact with a really good friend today but they’ve kind of grown apart . It cheered Mikey up lots to reconnect
