Castle Fraser

Yesterday we made a visit to Crathes Castle, or at least we got as far as the entrance. We discovered there was a Craft Fare taking place and it seemed to be packed. It turned out the car parks were full, but by that time we were merely looking for somewhere to turn around and make our escape.

Today instead we headed for Castle Fraser where we hoped we would find a bit more tranquility. The weather was a bit overcast, and turned to rain later, but during our visit it remained dry.

There has been much activity in the walled garden since our last visit, to the extent there is almost nothing left, everything has been pruned or removed for the winter.
