Running the blockade - 2

Now under 14day quarantine following our travels, this is the last leg of our 1500mile run across lockdown Europe, crossing the last of 5 borders.

I was also, possibly somewhat foolhardy in collecting our 35yr old Land Rover for its 600m drive up north to our new home. The ‘Brick’ has been little used for the last six months. Not deterred by a flat battery, I topped up all the fluids, loaded her up and pointed her up an empty M40 and on to the M6. She didn't miss a beat!, purring contentedly as we cruised past her Solihull birth place. Of course when we got north of Lancaster, the heavens opened in traditional Cumbrian style and I had a wet accelerator foot until Glasgow.
