Bathroom Day 1
I really tempted fate yesterday saying I had put right some real DIY disasters, and here we have it. I always thought it a bit odd that the main bathroom had that horrible glittery wallboard surrounding the bath. Low and behold upon pulling it of there was literally smashed plasterboard everywhere, clearly an aborted attempt has been made to remove some tiling smashing lumps out the plasterboard and has been rather amateurishly covered up, ah well..the joys.
Me and Kyle have stripped out all sanitary ware, bath, pulled up tiles and underlying 6mm plywood, removed all tiles and plasterboard to 1.20m high, anyone with basic knowledge will know plasterboard comes in 8x4 sheets or in new money 2.400x1.200 so will cut new sheet to size and tile straight onto it, tanking the area where the shower shall be.
Tomorrows jobs will be fit plasterboard with supporting back framing for shower screen, shower valve assembly and riser rails, dry run pipework and fit bath and level off. Oh.....and ply the floor...so it will be a men at work sort of day.
