Robin

What a chilly, damp day but I forced myself to walk one circuit of the Heritage Park loch.

The light on the water wasn't too good but I did see two herons in the hunched position standing on the island, a small group of male Tufted Ducks out in the middle of the water, Greylag Geese sleeping on the wooden pontoon, Little Grebes ducking and diving, Swans feeding and various gulls just bobbing on the rather choppy water.

Walking round the nature reserve at the top of the loch when this little robin flew across the path and landed on a branch just inside the protective fence. He looked a well fed little fellow.
