A short cut from the high street to the esplanade in Kirkcaldy.

This "close" is named after Adam Smith, author of the wealth of nations. He also has a theatre named after himself in the town.

If you are ever walking up the royal mile in Edinburgh you may spot his statue just outside of cafe Nero. He is also buried towards the bottom of the royal mile in an old graveyard.
