Watery reflection

Monday... (hard to get up and) out into the blustery morning... watched the high tide crashing over the seawall (from a safe distance!)... walked to the harbour where the water level was extremely high and made a wonderful watery seascape perfect for blipping! 

Then it was home to work; found it hard to get into the groove today. Jersey announced the stepping up of its Covid measures too, which - although I agree with - didn't help that feeling of unease. 

But I was cheered up when D and I were joined for dinner by a mutual friend (we all go back to primary school) and we had a sparkly gin, a sublime fish pie and lots of chat and shared memories. 

My evening was nicely rounded off with an unexpected Facetime with both daughters and B's b/f. It was lovely to all be together for half an hour even if we're not in the same room/country!
