Bring me sunshine #2

Woke up to frost and a distinct chill in the air. Spent a couple of hours at the village hall with the little Gs at our friendly nursery's regular holiday gardening kids' club. By the time we emerged (after much fun and laughter) it was positively warm outside, which prompted my two little monkeys to perform a gleeful sun dance on the grass. It was a lovely sight.

We spent the afternoon catching up with friends we'd not seen since before Christmas at a soft play area. It felt almost criminal to be playing inside on such a glorious day, but it was so nice to catch up with our friends, and to see the four children playing so happily together, that I can't be too sorry.

Apologies to anyone who was anticipating the outcome of the Monday sponge competition yesterday - 3rd attempt has been postponed for a week while I pander to my children's half term baking requests... yesterday's "Whoopie Pies" were anything but photogenic!
