Darkness and Rain (and lights)

I only took one picture yesterday but it suits the character of the whole day.
This is the gravel road that runs through our village. All the postboxes for the village are just by that red house with white corners. The street lights seem to more emphasis how dark it is rather than illuminate the world. This is what winter often looks like before the snow comes, though it doesn't always reflect off a soggy road.
I spent most of the day indoors, feeling rather tired after yesterday's travelling. We had a roaring fire and we both featured (as did the fire) in a short film we made for our great-neice, who will be celebrating her first birthday shortly. The film was slightly over 1 minute long and I faffed around for two hours or so adding a few words and an intro and concluding section. I enjoyed playing around in iMovie, even if I had forgotten a lot of how it worked. The day will be remembered as a fun day, even if the outside world didn't feature so much!
