The Stump Busters

The remains of the tree disappeared today, with a little help from the Stump Busters.
Now all that is left is a pile of sawdust.
The hole is going to be grassed over and a new acer tree is to be planted at the edge of the lawn.
What we have noticed is that the birds seems to be a bit bewildered, especially the pigeons.
They keep flying round wondering where their perches have gone, as they used to love sitting on the top branches.
I expect they will soon get used to sitting in the other trees nearby.

Mr C had an appointment at the eye clinic today. Just preparatory examination as he needs some laser treatment to his left eye.
I waited in the carpark with a National Trust magazine to read. Only half an hour and he was ready. All done, and now booked in for the 18th December.
