Faded Sunflower.

It wasn't faded,  it was beautiful, just as it would be on a Summer's day but somehow it seemed to suit having a little bit of Photoshop playing to knock it back and give it an Autumn/Winter feel.  Sorry sunflower!
Mid morning walk with a friend,  not a photographer and so I chose not to even take my camera along.  We do not make very good walking companions - keep stopping and starting to get a shot. Popped along to the allotment site afterwards - knew I would find something to photograph there.  There was a notification on our new Facebook page to look out for a missing Dachshund that was missing in the vicinity and we kept seeing posters all along our walk route.  Missing since 12th Nov. As a previous owner of 2 Dachshunds I just knew how upsetting it must be to lose any dog.  I rang the owner from the number on the posters hoping to hear if he had been found but sadly not the case.  She was heartbroken and recounted the many offers of help that people had made including the use of a tracker dog that had picked up a scent from a location where it was thought to have been spotted. The only comfort I could give was that I often choose the allotments for a walk and certainly had not seen the dog. She promised to call if there was a happy outcome.
