Toy for Grownups

It’s the tower at our village fire station, either for drying hoses or for practising deeds of derring do. 

It makes me think of the hardships of those who attended the Grenfell Tower fire, and of the political fallout that followed.  No one is perfect, but I’m certain that each sweaty, exhausted man and woman did their very best in awful circumstances.
