Debate Society

All teachers at Robert College must sponsor or work with a club. I decided to support the RC Debate Society, and can say I have been an abject failure at it. Thank goodness there are two competent teacher sponsors! This week for the first time, I really had fun with the group. The motion, which was actually used in a Singapore meet, was, "This House would hide any evidence of extra-terrestrial life from the public."
This is our most experienced team, right after spending an hour debating this ridiculous motion in their most serious manner. I had to leave right before the judges announced their decision, but it really didn't matter.
