Significant Tuesday

After the Tuesday morning virtual meetings had been successfully completed we had lunch in eager anticipation of seeing our youngest’s partner featuring in today’s dose of BBC’s Doctors. She did really well and it was lovely to see her on screen again.

As we waited for the programme to begin we saw one of our neighbours featured in a local news piece about the pressures of Covid-19 on mental health.

Our long afternoon walk took us by the junction at the west end of Portobello where two cyclists have lost their lives in the last 18 months. The most recent only 14 days ago. I hope everyone takes heed, adjusts their speed and thinks about cyclists at all times. As we paused and remembered Heather, aged 36, at this memorial the traffic thundered by at terrifying speed.
