Day out in Tunbridge Wells

Lunch here - an old theatre, now a pub in a very popular, modestly priced chain. They've kept as much of the fittings and furnishings as possible; it looks beautiful, and they run opera and dinner evenings now and again.

The town is known for the chalybeate springs discovered by Dudley North.
