Truncated

The noise outside this morning was of a different nature. More of an intermittent thunk. The sawn up logs were being brought to the neighbour’s front gate for collection. While I’ve not counted the rings, the trees are mature.

Work continues on tidying the upper branches of the remaining two. I did not fancy the job of doing so in the blustery wind.

At least it was very mild today and I got lots tidied away before the anticipated cold snap.

Then we headed off to meet a friend for afternoon tea. At least we will remain for the time being in Level 3 where cafes remain open.

Rounded off the evening with Bake Off and a very interesting Channel 5 programme on the Great Plague. We think we’ve got problems just now .......
