2020 Monday — Meatloaf

One of our favorite meals is meatloaf. The photo doesn’t look very pretty, but the flavor is extraordinary. I like making it because it provides us with two meals. I usually freeze half of it and then serve it in a week or so. And we usually get a couple of meatloaf sandwiches from one batch of meatloaf.

We were hungry enough this evening that I didn’t manage to get a photo captured before we were slicing one loaf and loading our plates with meatloaf, baked potato, and steamed zucchini slices with melted cheese. This meal satisfied our meatloaf craving again.

I became successful at baking meatloaf when I learned to put it on a bed of bread slices. It used to crumble; now it is a solid sliceable loaf.
