Sad Dereliction
We had a walk to & from Gosforth this morning for our daily exercise and were happy to find that some of the coffee shops were open for takeaways.
We came back by a slightly different route, on which we noticed this obviously rather lovely house in a sad state of dereliction. It may have been like this for ages but we've not noticed it before - and it's a long time since we last went that way. It looks as if it's been a big family house in its time but peering through the fencing covering the gateway at the side of the property we wondered if it had at some time been extended into a care home. It seems surprising that an enterprising developer hasn't snapped it up for conversion into luxury flats: judging by the state of the windows it won't have long to go before it'll be beyond repair.
I didn't have time to look for an Industrial blip today for Bobsblips's Widwed challenge so I'll tag it for this week's "Derelict Sunday" challenge, hosted by Marlieske.
