and waiting

until the 20th of january - when it will be inauguration day here - but that day can’t come - quite soon enough - as covid numbers - continue to climb - setting records on a daily basis - with people being both - hospitalized as well - as losing their lives - to a dreadful virus - the world has no control over

i find myself torn in 2 directions - i both want to watch - the news to remain abreast - of what is happening while at - the same time i long - to turn away because - it’s so overwhelming and distressing - to absorb the sheer atrocity - of what is becoming to my - fellow man and then on top of that - there continues to play out - this continued political - drama of a sullen incumbent - who legitimately lost an election - yet is hanging on to an unrealistic - belief he might turn it around - instead of focusing on a nation - dying in front of him - that throwing a temper tantrum is more - critical to him than the lives - he’s responsible for - is beyond me

he needs a wake up - call done with care and compassion - and the hope to respond - just as anyone might - because truly hope is - on the horizon with news - of not 1 but 2 potential - vaccines being effective now - and that is what we - can be assured will make it...
