Last chance
Last chance for any photography at OGH for the foreseeable future. We are in strict lock-down for 6 days (at least) followed by another 2 weeks of partial lock-down. I don't think the garden is going to hold up for long without water, but there's not a lot I can do about that. One of the rangers is going to go in and water our pots, and for the rest we'll have to depend on the watering system.
Here's what happened - and it was one in a million chance. A cleaner at a medi-hotel, who had no contact with the residents whatsoever, picked up the bug from a hard surface. She unwittingly transmitted it to members of her family, and from there it spread. Apparently this strain of covid is particularly contagious, and thus far we have more than 4,000 people in isolation. All in the northern suburbs which is a long way from where we are, but you never ever know.
All that happened within 10 days.
So, there we are. It will be a week of home blips, but you know what, I still think we are amongst the luckiest people on earth right now.
