Teasel
Had a short walk along the disused rail track that has become a wonderful wildlife haven, but will soon be opened up again to form an east-west (Cambridge - Bedford - Milton Keynes - Oxford) route - the old Varsity Line. As the old line turned due west and I was almost blinded by the low sun, I came upon a group of Teasels (Dipsacus fullonum) and couldn't resist taking some photos. It is such a spectacular exotic plant in winter compared with most of the other brown seed heads - impossible to walk past without snapping.
