There is a wider issue that a significant proportion of the Republican Party are enabling this. Not in a way that will ultimately make any difference to the result. I suspect their analysis is that would ultimately backfire on them. But just as far as they can take it, at massive expense to the security of democracy anywhere, in order to squeeze more cash out of their base.

Plus they can also see what levels of actual voter fraud they can get away with.
