Lucky People

This weekend was another holiday weekend, so, of course, we were compelled to 'make the most of it' by going somewhere. It all seemed a bit much to me.

But we came to stay with friends in Santa Barbara. I have been visiting here for a long time and it's always easy. I've often come as an escape from life - it's somewhere to breathe and recover, before I head back out in to the big world again.

This time, it was just all easy. Nice friends, nice place, nice food. Every day, there's something that reminds me how lucky we are to be living our lives. And to have good friends to eat, breathe and laugh with.
