Over The Roofs...

...Looking towards Maryport, to the left of the television aerial is the housing estates and to the right of it is the town and industrial estates. In the far distance is above the closest flue is a square-shaped building on the edge of the land and showing on the sea. This is the old Coal Offices I blipped on the 14th of November when I walked the coastal path between Maryport and Flimby. The houses shown in the thumbnail are in Birkby ( which derived from 'by the Birches', trees, ) a hamlet about a mile down the road from Crosby where this shot was taken. It is well worth looking at this view on the largest setting by pressing the button lower right.
