Kansas City
I didn't take this photo. It was taken by my grandfather back in the late 1940s. I had some of his slides scanned and cleaned up and this is one of the slides. The scene is Union Station in Kansas City, an iconic landmark, with downtown in the background. I remember in my childhood picking up my uncle there when he came from Chicago to visit at Christmas. Behind where my grandfather was standing (and not in the picture) is the Liberty Memorial, which was built to commemorate the end of World War I. Maybe I'll post a picture of that sometime.
