Sunrise silhouette ....

Dry and chilly today after yesterday’s rain.
Once everything was fed, headed next door with a crew to bring the first calved heifers and their calves home . Had to come back home first for the calving jack as wee brother had a cow needing calved. Got it out in one piece alive and well, a muckle red blondeX bull calf.
Once we had the cows along the road and into the shed we sorted their calves out and clipped their backs to stop them sweating and they got their pneumonia vaccine and a dose of pour on wormer. Then ran the cows through and clipped their freeze brand numbers so they were readable .
So that’s the start, first cows in for the winter, lots more to come in but it’s a long time till they go back out in May !
