To Catch A Cloud
I saw the white shape first from further away, high in the sky. It stood out because it was catching the sun in a patch of blue sky above the cloud base. The rest of the sky to the south was overcast and moving north to obscure its view.
I attempted a shot, but it wasn't interesting enough on its own. Walking down to the shore, I saw its reflection amongst the reeds and found enough open water to get a clear image. A few experiments led to this frame which captured my imagination.
I like the idea that two sides are open, giving the cloud some means of escape. I like the simplicity of the image and that it's unbalanced.
Extra: Opening. In contrast, seems too organised.
