The day started slightly earlier than anticipated, when one of the doors that MrM had ordered was delivered at 6.45am. Yes, the courier did text ahead to say he was on the way, but I doubt that either of us would have heard the text come in at 3.14am, even if the phone had been in the bedroom!

Success this morning. At last! I actually got through to the bank, and we each registered our security gadgets, so our new account is almost good to go, as they say.

An afternoon walk with MrM up to Kettles Fort, down to the Pin Well, and back along the Earle Road. It was quite breezy with a delicious 'nip' in the air - a lovely afternoon to be out. Dozens of blewits on the area around the fort, many of them past their best, but the gills on this one are still vividly lilac.
