Ready to Fly

I have had a productive day off work, with lots of cooking and cleaning.
This afternoon we walked up to Craiglockhart Pond to look at our swan family.  We hadn't visited them for about 2 weeks and the young have changed quite a lot in this time.  The main thing is the growth of their flight feathers and that they are nearly white now.
We watched them doing some flight practice into  the wind.  They seem bigger than their parents now, and will be over 30 times heavier than their birth weight.
