There's a pair!
Today I wanted to blip a little egret to provide variety but then not one, but two kingfishers appeared. I saw one which flew past me and landed on a branch, then I realised that the brown shape next to it wasn't a dead leaf, it was another kingfisher. I gradually edged closer and the one on the left took flight but the one on the right stayed there and I managed to get some more photos. I did end up crawling on my hands and knees on wet grass to get closer - luckily my knees dried out by the time I made it back to the office. I think the one on the left is the one I've seen many times before as it is very skittish and the one on the right is the one I saw on Saturday. I hope we have some baby kingfishers this spring.
I also saw a handsome starling perched atop a tree against the blue sky on my way back to the office.
Work was meh. It's better than it was but my moods are still quite weird. Maybe I am over medicated. Or maybe I'd just rather be outside with my camera.
