better with age

These flowers were bought from the grocery store two weeks ago and are still quite perky. The accompanying roses were beautiful but had to be tossed this morning. Once I started trimming these up to make a new bouquet, I noticed the lovely pattern in their petals. A reminder that aging can bring out hidden beauty!
