Desperate times call for creative measures

Well, if this season on the earth has taught us anything, it’s to get creative. And creative we shall be.

Our open house will be canceled this year because of current circumstances. So Lauralea and I are trying to get creative in spite of the tough challenges. We want to look for the good opportunities and perhaps start some new traditions with some new memories.

So this year one night a week during Advent we will host a zoom meeting online here with the locals who normally would be over for our open house. Yes they have to get their own hot beverage and cookies, but we’ll meet them online with some words and scriptures and a few prayers. Just the opportunity to be together for a few minutes each week will be good.

I suppose that’s the good thing in this whole time, is that we are trying new things at a rate unprecedented in the recent years of church. :)

Anyway, it might flop or it might be a raging success that we will be expected to repeat next year and every year here ever after for time immemorial.

I’m not sure which side I’m voting for yet. :-)
