Success - first time ever

A very dear friend gave me this African violet for my 70th birthday about 20 months ago. My heart sank a little when I saw it because, up until then, I had an unblemished track record for killing them - effortlessly and quickly. I placed it beside my phalaenopsis and when I fed the phalaenopsis with orchid food I gave some to the African violet as well. I figured it couldn't do too much harm. Well, bingo!! It is thriving. I keep photographing it and sending the photos to my friend. She is most impressed.
