vintage railway posters

After nationalisation in 1948 British Railways continued the practice of the private companies to use colourful posters to tempt people to use the railways to visit the resorts. Although the Weston poster 1959 is a eyecatcher the best artworks were earlier by renowned artists/illustrators of their era.
Extras Devon Great Western 1939 and York LNER 1924 are two good examples .
