Taking a break from leaf raking this afternoon, Luna and I sat on the seat by the river when I noticed this feather caught by a reed but being buffeted by the wind.   I quickly went indoors for my camera and as I got back the feather had disentangled itself and was starting to drift downstream on the slow current.   I managed to get four shots before it went out of range and this is the best of them.    The background is the blue/grey reflection of the sky. 
It's been much milder today and we've seen quite a bit of sunshine too, hope it lasts as more raking of leaves tomorrow and I might even attempt to cut the grass!!
