New beginnings

Bit of a dramatic title, but that’s what came to mind! Referring to the bulbs and seedlings of course.
Been doing household chores, walking the dogs, usual Saturday stuff.
Then I went and unpacked my parcel from yesterday. Two new painted wooden troughs. Planning to plant them up with the pansies tomorrow. And also paint the two wooden trellis troughs they are going to stand in front of. (Got some cream coloured paint left over from the shed painting)
Had a quick half hour checking bits in the garden, watering the hanging baskets. Checked on my sweet peas sown 2 weeks ago and they have just appeared. Also the spring bulbs seem to be making good progress.
The house opposite just put all his outside Christmas decorations up this afternoon. They will be alight every night now till at least 6th Jan, which just seems such a long time. Sigh.
