Over the rooftops

OHs birthday, gifted a tin of watercolour pencils. Made chocolate brownies for cake. Prepared veg curry and took Murray out for a walk. Thought floated across mind -Did I turn off hob? Yes, I think so - while enjoying sunshine and sunset. 
Arrived home to smoke filled kitchen, OH back from brief cycle ride had opened back door and windows.  Luckily house still standing.  Le Creuset pans are pretty solid. Curry cooked but inner pan base may be difficult to rescue.  I have had the pan for over 20 years. Feel very cross with myself and foolish. Food still edible.
