Winter wonderland

The second lights night of the weekend was a big affair with around 100 houses making displays. This is my friends the Woods making a magical woodland in their front garden.

Our angel had been posted on Facebook and lots of families came by to see it. I put up a table across the end of the drive with candles and mulled wine, we put lights on Juno’s harness and played music and my friends brought fish snd chips and sat the other side of our ‘covid cordon’ chatting away. It was surprisingly warm for late November.

Everyone made such an effort and there was so much creativity on display. Lovely to see the streets so full of families too. Now to sit down with a beer and watch a few more episodes of The Crown
