Hybrid Mallard

I'm pleased to see that the mainly white hybrid mallard is still on our neighbour's lake. Jack heron can be seen in his usual position in the background. 

We have heard a song thrush singing at the top of its voice recently but I've been unable to pinpoint it. I caught a glimpse today, it was singing from fairly low down right in the middle of the hedge. I was surprised to discover this as in the past I have seen them singing from high and quite exposed vantage points.
