Not as it once was.

This peaceful seeming backwater was once a major route for the gunpowder manufactured at the Royal Gunpowder Mills at Waltham Abbey as it was carried on the Lee Navigation and onto the docks in London..  The extra shows the junction. 
I only discovered this existed this week and rode out to explore on a grey day.
