Night falls in November

"In November, the trees are standing all sticks and bones. Without their leaves, how lovely they are, spreading their arms like dancers. They know it is time to be still. "

– Cynthia Rylant

When I was looking for a quote I recognized the author of the one I posted. I immediately thought of her book for children, The Relatives Came, one I always read to my kindergarten classes. Rollicking good fun when a carful of relatives come for a visit. It's something many of us long for now and will never take for granted ever again.

For the Record,
This day came in warm and sunny, a beautiful November day.

All hands wary
